A new year is about to begin and so I would like to wish everyone a good and happy one:o)) If you have made any new year resolutions I hope you stick with them and they come true!!
I gave up making those years ago because I usually ended up breaking them or they just never happened!! Now I just take the year as it comes and make it up as I go along - less stressful and easy going! LOL!!
Well another year is about to come to an end and it seems we are going to end it with a heatwave! In bear land I've had my busy moments and my quiet moments where I was able to do other projects on my 'to do list' and completed a punch needle rug using thick wool yarn and a latch hook Koala. There are still plenty more things on that list!!
I would like to thank all my collectors out there for their continued support and welcome some new ones to team Brimbin Forest Bears:o))

Jangles popped into the bears departure lounge for a very short stay before he was eagerly snatched up for Christmas:o))
We are going through a bit of a heatwave at the moment - not good when you have a stack of laundry to hang out though it is good from the point that it dry's very quickly! Had all the family visiting so it was pretty crazy around here for awhile - even the dogs let out a sigh of relief as we waved them all off back home to Sydney LOL!!

Jingles didn't have to hang around too long in the bears departure lounge before he was eagerly snapped up by a new collector:o))
The 1st December saw the arrival of Summer and bad storms for certain parts of Aussie.
Already bear making is done with fans blasting away which is ok unless you happen to be cutting out a bear but I have a little trick where I wait for the fan to swing away:o)) I know I could switch it off but it just gets too uncomfortable at times!
CHRISTMAS SPECIAL!!

It is time for Esmeralda to leave home at a 'one off special price' so pop along to my web site or bearpile.com to find out more:
*********************
Flying in to the bears departure lounge is Esmeralda who is now available for adoption. Couldn't resist making the witches hat as I am a little addicted to hats on bears! Not really into all this Halloween stuff even though it is a big thing in America and some years back took part in with the kids as we were living there.
Anyway, there is more info and pictures of Esmeralda on my web site so pop along and take a look:o))
Always busy at Brimbin and in between the bears I have been busy working on a punch needle rug and a latch hooking Koala!!
A little crazy but I always like to be working on something or trying a new craft!

Jasper arrived in the bears departure lounge yesterday for a short time before he was eagerly snatched up by one of my regular collectors:o))

New bear Tommy more or less flew into the bears departure lounge and flew out again as he was so quickly adopted!!
He'll be off down to Sydney very soon to one of my regular collectors:o))
Something a little different appeared in the bears departure lounge and he goes by the name of BOOMER the dog! I felt the urge to make another dog/bear as I think the last one I made must be about 4 or 5 years back!
Pop over to my web site to see more pics and to read about him too.
Spring has sprung and the garden is busy with lots of different birds flying in for a good feed on the Grevilleas which are all in flower - the birds and parrots love them for the sweetish nectar that they get out of them. There are the Wattle birds who wouldn't win any beauty competition - quite ugly and look almost prehistoric and then there is the very pretty tiny Eastern Spinebill who seem to spend their day flitting and chasing each other in and out of the trees and bushes - they also get chased by the Myna's who can't stand them for some reason or other!
Haven't seen any snakes or big spiders yet! The snakes I can cope with but spiders send me screaming in the opposite direction and don't get in my way!!

Like all my bears he was very enjoyable and fun to make:o)
Cockatoo
This very handsome guy comes for a visit most days - likes to check out the food and have a drink - most of the time he is on his own but occasionally his gang of mates come too! These guys can be a bit of a pain as they love raiding the orange, mandarins and lemon trees!!
Having a bit of a squabble at the bird bath!
Checking out what is on offer below on the food dish!
Galah
Rainbow Lorikeets
These are some of my daily visitors to the feeding stations in the garden - such beautiful and vibrant colours! Most of them are quite friendly and also a little bit cheeky too:o))

Male King Parrot
Female King Parrot

Getting blown and wind swept into the bears departure lounge today is JILLAROO who is now available for adoption:o))
We have been getting cyclonic winds for the past 3 days - luckily no damage so far but we did loose power yesterday for about 3 hours. Bit of a bummer as I was in the middle of doing all my weekly cleaning!
There was a happy me thinking I've got out of that one when himself runs off to crank up the generator 😳😃
The girls having a lazy Sunday morning in the sunny spots:o)) It's called the good life for 2 very spoilt old ladies:o))

In between the making of the bears I have been busy with the knitting needles after dragging them out of hibernation due to it getting much cooler now that we are into Autumn with Winter only 2 weeks away!!
I made these 2 sweaters from local hand dyed Artisan yarns which is lovely to work with. Love this yarn and have quite a stash of different colours tucked away in the bear room cupboard - when I really like something I can never have enough of it!! 😊

I have finally come up for air after being buried in mohair as I have been quite busy with orders phew!! So, today ready and waiting in the bears departure lounge is Aunt Tiggy in all her finery! I hand knitted the shawl and hat from a lovely hand dyed artisan yarn of Australian Merino wool - so nice to work with:o)
I thought I would just show off 2 special bears Peru and Aunt Lucy who will soon be on their way over to Tassie (Tasmania) to a lady who can't wait to get her hands on them!
At least they will be nice and warm as it gets a bit chilly in Tassie especially now as we roll into Autumn.
